Scorpion Solitaire: a guide for your next round

Look at the complete hand before deciding. Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Select cards directly on the tableau and work through a full solo deal. Use another round to revisit a decision. Before making a move, check the cards in view. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns. Use another round to revisit a decision.

Seven columns; three stock cards dealt once to the first three columns. Free solo play, no wagering.

Practice beyond the first move

Look at the complete hand before deciding. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot. Check the relevant controls before continuing.

Understand the aim

Complete four same-suit king-to-ace runs. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear. A clear plan starts with the current position.

From the start of a round

  1. Move a face-up card with its tail onto the next higher same-suit rank. Kings fill empty columns.
  2. Select a face-up card and then the destination pile or Empty slot.
  3. Complete same-suit king-to-ace runs to clear them from the tableau.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

The controls to know

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. Check the relevant controls before continuing. Work at your own pace.

One way to understand the rules

The trailing cards may be unordered, but the destination suit and rank must match. Return to the explanation when a decision is unclear.

A useful caution

Begin with the objective. Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. Use another round to revisit a decision.
